University of Glasgow

Founded in 1451, we are the fourth oldest university in the United Kingdom and have 15000 undergraduates, almost 5000 postgraduates and 5000 adults in continuing education. We welcome students from more than 100 countries including a small number of students from Iraq. The University of Glasgow has a long established relationship with countries in the Middle East and has been welcoming students here for many decades.

At Glasgow, you will study to gain an internationally respected degree, but we can guarantee you much more besides. Glasgow is one of Europe's most diverse cities and includes a large Muslim population. The city is home to twelve mosques and a wide range of Halal butchers and shops.
